Learning & Achieving Together

The sociology department strives for excellence from every learner by encouraging them to analyse people’s behaviour, applying their studies to every day personal experiences. By fostering a genuine interest in the subject through daily application of skills and knowledge, we aim to ensure that every student achieves excellence. Each student is supported through attending engaging lessons and the use of up to date resources, which challenge and motivate them. Sociology students will form new perspectives of society and start to question social factors that once went unnoticed.

Key Stage 5

Sociology is a subject based on grand theories which have attempted to explain society as a whole, and smaller scale theories which consider the implications of our everyday experiences and interactions.
