Posted on 10th SepOur results highlight the outstanding progress our students continue to make and reinforces our position as one of the top non-selective schools in the country for A Levels. Having achieved results in the top 2% nationally for the last two years, results again look extremely positive and we look forward to confirmation of this year’s rankings, when published by the Department for Education.
We celebrate that for the second year running half of all A Level grades achieved by students were A*-B, with 20% being A* or A. Alongside our A Level performance, our vocational results are also exceptionally strong, with 70% of results being Distinction or Distinction*.
Examples of the many individual success stories include: Tyler Russel (A*AAAA), Daniel Scott (Dist A*A*BB), Aminah Malik (A*AAA), Mariam Rana (A*ABB), Maja Kozaczek (AAAAC), Nikhil Halai (A*AAB), Hassan Abdulmaged (AAAB), Marianna Soukeras (Dist*Dist*Dist A*), Samir Syed (Dist*DistDist B) and Mica Charles (DistDistDist A).
Headteacher, Arwel Jones, said: “We are exceptionally proud of the outstanding achievements of all our students who have worked so hard to achieve their goals. The results are a strong reflection of the excellent efforts of students and staff at the school.”
Director of Sixth Form, Hider Mahdi, said: “We are very proud of the achievements of our students this year. They continue to rise to the challenge of the more rigorous A Level and vocational qualifications, and their achievements demonstrate their commitment and diligence. Students will now move on to the next exciting stage of their journey, having secured high quality degree courses at university, some taking a gap year and others entering apprenticeships and the world of work. We wish them all the very best for the future.”
