Brentside Student Podcast
Race Equality Action Project (R.E.A.P)
The R.E.A.P workshops aimed to build confidence and enhance behaviour through creative expression.
Over ten weeks, a group of Year 8 and 9 boys took part in workshops that addressed a range of challenges faced by young Black teenagers, including police stop-and-search practices, the risks associated with county lines, peer pressure, stereotyping, racial profiling and knife crime.
The boys created a podcast to identify potential solutions by interviewing those affected by knife crime, including victims' families, campaigners, the police and politicians, fostering a comprehensive dialogue about the ways to combat this crises and empower the youth to take action.
